Cheng Hoe wants players to control emotions

Malaysia national head coach, Tan Cheng Hoe, has urged his players to keep their emotions in check when going up against Singapore in the AIRMARINE Cup 2019 this Wednesday.

According to Cheng Hoe, clashes between Malaysia and Singapore have traditionally been heated and he expects both sides to go all out in the upcoming encounter.

“We want to improve our world ranking while emerging victorious in the tournament. What’s important is that the players cannot be overly emotional and end up being carded because that will affect the flow of our game.

“Singapore will definitely send their strongest line-up even though they will be without both of Fandi Ahmad’s sons (Irfan and Ikhsan). They (Singapore) will also be out looking for a good result and we know that this is a very important game for both nations,” said the 51-year-old.
