Cheng Hoe has faith in his team
Malaysia coach Tan Cheng Hoe is confident that his team can overcome Vietnam in the AFF Suzuki Cup first leg final at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium tomorrow.
Despite being labelled as “underdogs”, Cheng Hoe believes that his team are well aware of what needs to be done and are calm ahead of the clash.
“It was our dream to play in the final and win it. Even though everyone considers us as underdogs, I want my players to go out there and have fun, because they have earned it”,” said Cheng Hoe.
And the 50-year-old coach also added that his players are better prepared this time around.
“I believe the players are well aware of the task at hand and they are under no pressure whatsoever. The only difference between this match and the ones that have come before, is that this is a final.
“The important thing is that we don’t squander our home advantage in the first leg and put on a good show for the fans”, he said.
Malaysia host Vietnam at 8.45pm on Tuesday, 11 December.
