Cheng Hoe eyes one more friendly
Malaysia national head coach Tan Cheng Hoe is hoping that his squad will be able to feature in one more friendly before their 2022 World Cup/2023 Asian Cup qualifying campaign opener against Indonesia this September.
The Harimau Malaya squad were previously set to face United Arab Emirates (UAE) in an international friendly but the match was called off due to both sides being drawn in the same qualifying group.
For Cheng Hoe, the friendly is crucial to ensure that his players are in peak form ahead of their showdown with Indonesia.
“The FAM are currently trying to organise a friendly and I hope we will get a chance to do so before facing Indonesia.
“At the moment, the coaching staff are monitoring and evaluating the players who will be representing the team,” he said in an interview with BH Sukan.
