Cheng Hoe confident of victory in Hanoi

Malaysia coach Tan Cheng Hoe believes that his side can overcome Vietnam in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 Final second leg tomorrow.

The Harimau Malaya head into the match with a slight disadvantage after being held 2-2 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Tuesday.

But despite that, the 50-year-old coach appears to be confident about his side’s chances.

“We have a mountain to climb in Hanoi. But we are definitely still in it because we were not defeated in the first leg and we can win it if we give our all.

“They need to be prepared mentally and physically for the challenge ahead,” said Cheng Hoe.

And the former Kedah FA coach has also urged his side to seek an early goal, so that they can take control of the tie.

“We need an early goal to help build our confidence during the match. The players just need to be focused and avoid any costly errors,” he said.
