Aidil proud of Kedah
Kedah head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak hailed his side’s fighting spirit following their 1-1 draw with Malaysia Super League leaders Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) at the Darul Aman Stadium.
“Their never-say-die attitude and the high level of commitment displayed by them is the main reason they were able to bounce back after falling a goal behind.
“I think it’s not easy for any team to go up against JDT and I’m proud because Kedah were able to steal two points from JDT and prevent them from going further ahead in the Super League standings.
“What’s most important is that all my players gave 100 percent and I would like to thank all the Hijau Kuning fans who turned up to support their beloved team,” said Aidil.
JDT took an early lead courtesy of a goal from 22-year-old Malaysia forward Safawi Rasid in the 10th minute but Kedah hit back in the 31st minute through import striker Fernando Rodríguez.
