6-star City thrash Southampton

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side put on an impressive display as they defeated Southampton 6-1 in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Two goals from Raheem Sterling, strikes from Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Leroy Sané and an own goal by Wesley Hoedt put Manchester City two points ahead of their nearest challengers, Liverpool, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Unai Emery’s resurgent Arsenal side at the Emirates Stadium last night.

Chelsea were also able to capitalise on Liverpool’s draw by defeating Crystal Palace 3-1 to go into 2nd, thanks to a better goal difference.

Manchester City currently lead the Premier League with 29 points from 11 games.
