5 best Asian footballers in Europe

It was during the 2002 World Cup that the world started to notice the existence of Asian footballers. Since then big leagues in Europe have been constantly looking for Asian talents to help bolster their squads. Here is a list of the current top 5 Asian footballers in Europe.

1.Makoto Hasebe

Hasebe is Japanese footballer currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt. Previously he was with VfLWolfsburg and Nurnberg. At the age of 35, he has achieved so much and continues to excel as a footballer.

2.Maya Yoshida

Another Japanese footballer on the list, Yoshida is with Premier League side Southampton. In August 2012, Yoshida agreed to join the club on a three-year contract for a fee of RM15million.

3.Yoshinori Muto

Muto plays as a forward for English club Newcastle United. The 27-year-old Japanese player was previously with Bundesliga club Mainz 05 and joined Newcastle United in 2018.

Currently playing for Zaragoza, a Spanish football club, Kagawa has been with numerous clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Besiktas. In 2013, while playing for the Red Devils, he won a Premier League medal.

Son is a 27-year-old South Korean footballer who plays for Tottenham Hotspur. Also, he has received the best footballer in Asia award four times so far.
